Martina Walsh

Yoga Instructor

Martina Walsh took her first yoga class in January 1998 and instantly found that it helped her with pain management and relaxation. In 2006 she completed the Yoga Studio College Teacher Training program with Val Petrich and Rob Walker. A certified Iyengar teacher, she has now taken over 1000 hours of training from teachers such as, Father Joe Pereira, Patricia Walden and the Iyengar family, during her three visits to Pune, India.

Martina has been teaching at The Yoga Studio of Calgary since 2009. She currently teaches 
Level l Yoga Thursday's at 9:15am. She welcomes any level of student to her class as she is known for giving detailed instruction that meets the specific needs of each student. 

Martina’s goal is to bring her love of yoga to her students. Believing that yoga is an essential component in maintaining mobility, improving health and combating stress and fatigue, she hopes to pass on to her students the feeling of energy and serenity that a yoga practice brings.
