Mindfulness, Happiness & Contentment

According to Rick Hanson, we have a built in ‘negativity bias”. That is, we are evolutionarily designed to look for danger and to remember the negative or unpleasant experiences that we have in order to keep us safe.

As he says, “the mind is like velcro for negative experiences and teflon for positive ones.”


The good news is that we can step out of the negativity bias, and create new pathways in the mind so that we can “hardwire happiness”, or shift the texture of our inner landscape and perspective towards happiness and contentment.


Learn how the simple practices of mindfulness, gratitude and loving kindness can transform how you think, how you feel and how you relate to yourself and others. We only need 5-10 minutes every day to create new grooves in the mind.
