This workshop is for individuals of any age who are seeking the benefits of yoga and would like the stability and support that a chair provides.
We will provide support and guidance for individuals with disabilities, arthritis, pre- and post surgery recovery or illness, rehabilitation, seniors community, movement and weight challenges. Also, anyone with difficulties getting up and down from the floor and beginners wishing to explore the poses before going down to a yoga mat will benefit from this workshop.
Honoring and using the fundamentals of Iyengar Yoga, we include proper alignment and breath work to support total body strength as well as relaxation and a calmer mind.
How does using a chair provide benefit?
Increases circulation, strengthens muscles, increases flexibility, lubricates joints, improves range of motion & mobility, improves balance, calms the mind, relaxation and improves concentration.
