Balance is the state of the present—the here and now. In any yoga pose, two things are required: sense of direction and centre of gravity.
~B.K.S. Iyengar
Yoga postures sharpen the nerve pathways in the ankles, knees, and hips that are responsible for balance. The sensory reception mechanisms for maintaining balance originate in the brain; research has shown that balancing exercises nourish the brain and may improve cognitive
function.
Every movement of the body creates a change in our centre of gravity and every yoga posture has its own centre of gravity. The exercises in this workshop will challenge and educate your balance senses as well as develop the joint and muscle actions required to maintain stability in everyday activities.

This workshop will be offered in-studio and live stream online!
